Project Name: EPC 340 MW Diesel Power Station Samarah - Iraq.
Client: Ministry of Electricity - Iraq
Location: Sammarah - Iraq
Main Contractor: WARTSILA - Finland
Subcontractor: Shams Al- Sabah General Contacting Co. (SAS)
Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) for 16 Storage Tanks included:
● 2 * 15,000 m3 HFO storage tanks.
● 1 * 4,000 m3 LFO tank.
● 2 * 500 m3 HFO day tanks.
● 2 * 400 m3 buffer tanks.
● 1 * 700 m3 water tank.
● 8 tanks of different capacities.
● 1 * 4,000 m3 LFO tank.
● 2 * 500 m3 HFO day tanks.
● 2 * 400 m3 buffer tanks.
● 1 * 700 m3 water tank.
● 8 tanks of different capacities.
Mechanical works included the installation of:
● 20 engines 320 tons each.
● 35,000 meters of piping of different sizes.
● 20 Generators 76 tons each.
● Balance of plant (BoP) auxiliary equipment.
● Alignment of 20 Engines / Generators sets.

Installation of Electromechanical work, Testing and Commissioning of 132 KV Substation which included:
● Four 104 MVA Power Transformers.
● Two 132 KV Lines.
● Bus Bar.
● All control, protection, metering A.C, D.C and all other systems.
● Two 132 KV Lines.
● Bus Bar.
